The 'forgotten' garden around the old dairy factory in Bækbølling was opened again this year.
The beautiful weather at the end of March helped us on our way. A new path was cleared in the southern garden. Sheltered under the beech trees were some hazelnuts that were pruned hard and almost every other tree and shrub has been removed. Now there is room to create a food forest path: a small food forest with many edible things. In addition to hoping for the nuts to return, we've planted a number of apple trees and various berry bushes.
The Vista will be expanded this year and a colorful garden will be created around the garden house. We also hope that we renovate the garden house this year.
Between the Vista and the colorful garden we are starting to move berry bushes and other plants so that there is room for a garden with something wild but different ...
And for those who did not know this: no poison is used in the entire garden. All weeds are removed by hand and new plants in the garden are grown by us from organic seeds or from organic nurseries.
Take a trip to Bækbølling
Check out our garden and sit down on a bench to enjoy the spring sun. Or on our patio in the courtyard, where we sell coffee, tea and homemade treats. You can picnic in the rest of the garden.
See the info page for opening hours and entrance fee.
Note: The garden is less suitable for the disabled p.g.a. its wild nature
